Parent and Spectator Code of Conduct

Welcome to Another Great Season  of Recreational Softball and Baseball!

At LAMAA, we are proud to offer a recreational league focused on fun, development, and community. To ensure a safe and positive environment for everyone involved, we ask all parents and guardians to read and agree to the following Parent Code of Conduct.

Parent Code of Conduct

  • Respect all volunteers and coaches - They generously give their time to help our children grow and learn.
  • Respect the umpires - They may not get every call right, but they are doing their best and deserve support,
  • not criticism.
  • Support and encourage all players - I will cheer for all children, not just my own.
  • Demonstrate good sportsmanship - Toward opposing teams, their coaches, and fellow parents.
  • Maintain a positive and respectful attitude - On the sidelines, near the dugout, in the parking lot, and on social media.



Unacceptable Behavior - Zero Tolerance

LAMAA has a zero tolerance policy for any form of disrespectful behavior. The following actions are strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disciplinary action:


  • Yelling at or confronting umpires, coaches, players, or other spectators
  • Using inappropriate, offensive, or abusive language
  • Publicly criticizing players, coaches, or officials
  • Posting negative, harmful, or inflammatory content on social media
  • Entering the dugout or field of play unless explicitly permitted
  • Making threatening gestures or statements
  • Disruptive behavior during games or practices


Consequences for Violations

LAMAA will take immediate action in response to any violations. 

Disciplinary measures may include, but are not limited to:

  • Verbal or written warnings - Maximum of 1 before expulsion
  • Removal from the game or facility - after 1 verbal/written warning
  • Suspension from future games - after receiving 1 prior removal any consecutive need for removals result in season removal
  • Permanent ban from league activities - at the discretion of the board
  • Review by the LAMAA board for further disciplinary action when necessary

Continued infractions after disciplinary actions have been taken may result in your player being removed from the league and released for play in another league withour refund of any registration expenses. 


Let's Set the Example

Our kids learn from watching us. 

Let's lead by example and show them how to play, cheer, and compete with honor, integrity, and respect - on and off the field.


Parent Responsbility for Affiliated Parties

As a parent or guardian, I understand the I am responsible for the behavior of all individuals affiliated with my player. This includes family members, friends, and other spectators who attend games or practices in support of my child. I agree to ensure that all affiliated partied adhere to the LAMAA Code of Conduct and demonstrate respectful, positive behavior at all times. Any violations by these individuals may result in disciplinary action affecting my player’s participation in the league.
